Sheila Woods will be a featured entertainer at the 25th anniversary celebration of the American Society for Metals.
THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY of | the founding of the local chapter of ‘the American Society for Metals will be celebrated at a party Nov. 20 in the Murat temple. to The stag party will open with a steak dinner followed by a floor show featuring entertainers from Chicago and New York. Principal speaker will .be Kent Van Horn, of the Aluminum Company of America, national presi= dent of the group. William Eisen-. | man, national secretary, also will speak. The arrangements committee is headed by James Worthington of J. D. Adams Co. Officers’ of the Indianapolis chapter, which has about 200 members, are Thomas Harvey, chairman; Paul Ulmer, vice chairman; Ralph Stahl, secretary, and | Axel Weydell, treasurer. The chapter originally began | as the Steel Treaters’ society and | now includes mafly well-known metallurgists.

tice Day Services.
T. H. Gehrig, Decatur, fourth district American Legion commander’ today was announced as the winner of the Legion membership drive with a record of 4211 members in his district. | Mr. Gehrig will be sent as Indiana representative to Armistice day serv- | ices in Washington, D. C,; and will place the Indiana wreath on the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The Decatur commander's district achieved 110 per cent of its annual quota. The Indiana Legion collected 13,015 Legion membership cards mn, the roundup. District commanders pirticipatitg. in the contest placed in the follow-' ing order.
