Retired Industrialist Was Former Resident of
Richmond.
Walter J. Hutton, retired Richnond industrialist, died this moming at his home at the Marott hotel. Mr. Hutton, who was 78, was retired president. of the Richmond Water Co. and secretagy-treasurer of the J. M. Hutton Co., Richmond. He also was elder and deacon emeritus of the Second Presbyterian church here. He retired 20 years ago and had resided here 16 years. A native of Richmond, he was the son of William and Emily Hutton, pioneer Quaker residents of Richmond. Surviving are the widow, Helen C.; two daughters, Mrs. Elwood Grist, Brooklyn, N. Y., and Mrs
apolis, Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Watt, Richmond, and Mrs. Oscar Voorhies, Los Angeles, and eight grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a. m. Thursday at Flanner & Buchanan mortuary and burial will be in Earlham cemetery, Richmond.
