Still Finds Time to Draw For Post Newspaper.

Maybe the job of supply clerk isn’t an artist's dream but Pvt. Tommy J. Pruitt. of Indianapolis, winner of two art scholarships, finds time to draw for the post newspaper. Pvt. Pruitt, the son of Mrs. William Pruitt, 210 W. 43d st., is stationed with 1st weather reconnaissanse squadron at Grenier field, N. H. He was formerly stationed at Amarillo, Tex., where he drew covers for the weekly bulletins published by the chaplain. Before Uncle Sam beckoned Pvt. Pruitt managed to win the Herron Art Institute of Indianapolis scholarship and a scholarship ‘awarded by the Dallas, Tex., News, 'which was good for one year at the |f | Dallas art school. He entered the | service before completing this course. ! A brother, Robert, who is in the naval reserve, has just graduated from the University of Washington.
