JANE JORDAN

NOTE—I have so many, many letters from young people that I bave to make my replies brief in order to give each an answer: Undecided was going steady with a boy when they had an argument and she gave him back his ring. When she writes to him he sends the Jetters back and he won't talk to her. Well! Imagine wanting a stubborn boy like that who pouts and holds a grudge. What a rotten hus-

band he would make, Forget him. You're lucky. A wondering girl is 17 and in love with a boy of the same age who will be called to the merchant marines soon. He takes her to the show and then flirts with other girls. He once spoke of marriage but she didn’t take him seriously. How can she let him know she ‘loves him The JoMan without pouring out her love to him? In my opinion she would do well to keep her emotions to herself. Let him ask before you confess your love. Above all, don't take him too seriously. He is just a young boy with a roving eye, not a serious

lover. A girl of 20, signed E, went with a boy seven months who asked her to marry him, but they splif up. She works at night and had only one evening free for him, and thinks

that may have brought about the

break. Shall she call him or try to forget? * If he cares for you enough to be worth-while, he will do the calling. If he doesn't, it isn’t as hard to forget as you now believe. Just give it a trial. This will also answer A. J. G. whose boy friend doesn't care any more. Anna is 15, crazy about a boy whose mother hates her, and wants her son to go with another girl. He wants her to marry him when she is 17. Now Anna, every girl has these temporary love attacks

accompanied by various set-backs.|j

It isn't time to think of marriage yet, but nobody will blame you for dating the boy if you can. Why should he have to have his mother’s consent to call on a girl? Lonesome is a newcomer to Indianapolis and doesn’t know many girls. Boys her age are in the service. How can she meet the right kind? She does not drink or smoke. Better cultivate more girl friends, which you can do at school. If you aren’t too young, you can offer your services to the U. 8. O. JANE JORDAN.
