Orders for Flowers Sent by Servicemen
Times Special NEW YORK, Oct. 21.-~Thou-sands of Christmas orders for flowers were received by Sept. 1 from soldiers on the battle fronts, it was announced here by Victor Scott, chairman of the armed forces committee of the Florists’ Telegraph Delivery association. This is the earliest date on which
‘{ Christmas ‘orders havé arrived in
this counrty since the beginning of the war and every day additional quantities are being received from points in the various theaters of operation, Mr. Scott said. This will be the third Christmas on which the florists’ association has handled flower orders for the men in service and it is expected that the number handled this year will greatly exceed the two previous occasions, Mr. Scott stated.

Mrs, William Sinclair, the bridegroom's sister, and Miss Mildred Myers will be bridesmaids. They will be in similar dresses of blue styled with brocaded satin bodices and chiffon skirts and will carry yellow chrysanthemums. All of the attendants will wear matching flowers in their hair.
Reception Follows
Dr. Edward Goll will serve as best man and Mr. Stevenson and Rupert Knierim, the bridegroom's brother, will be ushers. After a reception in the church the couple will leave for a wedding trip. They will be at home at 8002 Rockville rd. Miss Pell is a graduate of the Methodist hospital School of Nursing. Dr. Knierim, son of the Rev. and Mrs, Knierim, 713 N. Belmont ave., was graduated from the Indiana university School of Dentistry.

Meeting Set By Riley Guild
‘Members of the Riley Hospital Cheer guild will meet Tuesday afternoon in the schoolroom at the
hospital. Preceding the 2 p.m. business meeting and program, there will be a board meeting at 1 o'clock in the hospital library. Speakers on the program will be Mesdames William D. Bain, J. D. Garrison and Jule Knotts and Miss Evelyn Sickels. ' The board members who will be hostesses are Mesdames Andrew J. Porter, Hans C. Jacobsen, Charles D. Vawter, O. O. Johnson, K. N. Huber, R. W. Cook, Carl L. Jones, Bertha Tipton, G. E. Bomberger, Bernard H. Jeup, John G. Beale, William H. Carper and Elizabeth A. Waters, Miss Alice Velsey and Miss Margaret Cooper. The guild members will sew for the hospital during the afternoon. Eighteen chapters of the guild contributed a total of 450 hours service in sewing during the month of September, the guild has announced. Senior Nurses Are Classified
Senior student nurses are now being classified by the Indiana procurement and assignment committee for nurses, WMC, to speed the assignment of nurses -to military or essential civilian nursing immediately following their graduation this fall, according to an announcement made today by Miss Ethel R. Jacobs, state chairman. Approximately 700 student nurses are expected to graduate from the state nursing schools by the end of the year. Miss Jacobs urged all those classified as available for military service to apply for appointment before graduation. Applications may be filed with any Red Cross recruitment committee or with the surgeon general of the army or navy in Washington.
