Appointments of editors ahd stafl of .the Shortridge high school annual yearbook were announced today by Miss Marge Brink, editor. The literary staff will be headed by Ann Lindstaedt and composed of Joan Pile, Bernard Landman, Cici Hendricks, Phyllis Jay, Virginia Johnson and Reasel Ashmore. Mary Frances - Dittrich will edit liners. Members of her staff are Mary McClure, Mary Hull and Carol Thoms and the sponsor is Miss Margaret Montgomery. Sigmund Spaeth, New York musician, will address Shortridge students today. Guests of the school for the address will be Mrs. Frank Cregor, member of the board of National Federated Music clubs; Mrs. Clair McTurnan, president of Indiana State Federation of Music Clubs; Mrs. Lucille Wagner, presi-. dent of Indianapolis Matinee Musicale; Mrs. Ada Bicking, director of Arthur Jordan Conservatory; Mrs. Otto Stark, president of the Harmonie club, and Mrs. James Ogden, director of Ogden Choral society.

FIRST. HEARING SET ON STATE AVIATION

The first of three public hearings by the Governor's commission on aviation will be held next Friday | at the St. Joseph county court! House in South Bend. The commission will make recommendations to the legislature on the best means of promoting and safeguarding the state's future in aviation. The purpose of the meeting, Herschel A. Hollopeter, commission chairman said, is to allow “the fullest public expression on the future of aviation in Indiana.” The second meeting will be held Nov. 10 in the McCurdy hotel, Evansville. The final hearing is scheduled for Dec. 1 in the Indian-

apolis city hall council chamber.
