En 400 BOY SCOUTS TO MAKE CAMP
Demonstration of Living in Open Scheduled at Washington Park,
Approximately 400 North side Boy _ Scouts and their leaders will attend the fall camporee to be held tomorrow and Sunday at Washington Park. Demonstrating how Scouts live in the open, the affair will be divided into four groups, each in charge of an assistant district commissioner. Groups of eight each will vie with one another to transform a Baie camping area Into one suitable for cooking, eating and sleeping. Assistant district commissioners who will have charge of the groups
are W. F. McNairy, Fred ‘W. Bolle,
E. L. Henry and Joe Voorhis. Head of the general arrangements committee is Frank Langsenkamp Jr. assisted by Heber Williams, P; H. Anderson and Kenneth Mosiman. Sunday church service plans are in charge of W. W. Miller, district commissioner. Catholic boys will attend mass at St. Joan of Arc church, while Protestant boys will attend a service on the camp site, ied by J. M. Bryant. Camp director will be N. T. SCHOOL SETS MARK IN MAGAZINE SALES
Subscription ‘ records of the past 22 years were exceeded this year in the annual magazine drive at Ben Davis high school. Students purchased 2615 subscriptions, with Robert Dickerson selling the largest number, and Norma ‘Ashley taking second honors for salesmanship. The annual subscription dance will be held Oct. 21 at the high school gymnasium.
Ben Davis P.-T. A. will meet at 8 p. m. Tuesday at the school. Judge Mark Rhoads will speak and Mrs. W. W. Wise, president, will be in charge.
The first skating party of the year sponsored by Ben Davis will be held Monday at Riverside rink.
