Promotion in Pacific Theater
Sgt. Goerge M. Bright, 1125 Knox ave, recently was promoted from {corporal in the Marianas islands. He is a veteran of three marine corps campaigns in the Pacific.

Donald 8. Rogers, 4640 Cornelius ave. has been enrolled in the naval radio school at the University of Wisconsin. He was selected for that training on the basis of aptitude tests taken while he was in boot camp.
Second Lt. Veronica M. Barton, daughter of Mrs. Nora Barton, 2636 N. Meridian st., is in charge of an orthopedic ward at an army general hospital in England. She is a graduate of the nurses’ school at St. Vincent’s hospital.
