Miles, who is 20, has been in service since June, 1943, serving on Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan and Tinian. He is now at a navy hose pital at Odkland, Cal, after being returned to the United States Sept. 10. He attended Washington high school. A brother, Pvt: Howard Miles, is in training at Camp Blanding, Fla.
