and Boston Peoples’ symphony orchestras, will head the string bass section of the Indianapolis Symphony orchestra during the 1944-45 season. A native of Athens, Greece, Mr. Litolf is an American citizen. He was a member of the Athens Symphony orchestra and studied with Max Kunze of the Boston Symphony. He was a faculty member of the Providence and Rhode Island Conservatories of Music and for seven years was on the staff of a Providence radio station. Fabien Sevitzky, director of the Indianapolis orchestra, also announced the appointment of D. Stanley Hasty as first clarinetist.
