a war bond in the 8th air force Victory Squadron drive, His base achieved. its.goal three weeks ahead of schedule. Another Indianapolis man, T. Sgt. Walter Blankenship, husband of Mrs. Goldie Blankenship, 2835 North Gale st., also “signed the book” for purchase of a war bond in addition to the regular deductions. His unit was the first division of the 8th to reach its quota of $888,000.

He is the husband of Yvonne Zinkin, formerly with the army. nurse corps at Tehran and now residing here. = FREEMAN ABBITT, seaman 1l-c in the coast guard and son of Mr. and Mrs, Edison Abbitt, has taken part in four South Pacific invasions. In his 15 months at sea, he was in the assaults on Treasury Island, Bougainville, ‘Green Island and Saipan.
