A testimonial dinner was tendered the “generous gentleman from Indiana” by 225 of his state-wide friends last night at Spencer's restaurant, 4411 Allisonville rd. Charles J, Lynn, the “generous gentleman,” was so called by Dr. E. C. Elliott, Purdue university president, at the testimonial sponsored by the Indiana Draft Horse and
Mr. Lynn is president, aed ~Viee president of “the Ell Lilly & Co., Mr. Lynn became a horse and mule enthusiast a few years back and fostered the improvement in stock at his 623-acre Lynnwood fatm which he gave to Purdue three years 8go.

Kays, animal husbandry department, Ohio State university, principal speaker, paid tribute to Mr. Lynn saying, “Democracy is a form of living and Mr. Lynn typifies it. . “Too often we pay tribute to a man, his friendship and leadership after he is gone.
