Indiana housewives today were asked by officials of the Indiana State Potato committee to make a specialty of buying small potatoes, now plentiful in groceries all over the state. After a meeting called by L. M. Vogler, chairman of the state AAA committee and head of the potato committee, spokesmen explained that undersized potatdes, known officially as No. 1B grade, are exceptionally plentiful this year because the drought prevented them from achieving full growth. The weather also lessened the number of large No. 1A potatoes, they said. : Must Be Used The committee pointed out that the little potatoes, now selling at about half price, will have to be used if the nation is to have all the potatoes it will need later in the year. The drought has reduced prospects for late potatoes as well ag early ones and Indiana growers expect less than half of the usual crop of 5,000,000 bushels.
