P).= Hormone which can cause a barren cow to start giving milk, and which can restore virility. to overage farm animals, was reported today at the American Veterinary Medical association convention. Dr. Ralph R. Reece, of the New Jersey agricultural experiment station told how one 33-month-old jersey heifer which had never had a calf produced 8046 pounds of milk and 383 pounds of butterfat in 305 days after being given injections of stilbestrol dipropionate. A Holstein Friesidn heifer that failed to conceive after four breedings produced 6634 pounds of milk after she was given hormone injections, and the fertility of three bulls was restored by hormonal therapy, Reece said.
