Cointy Clubs Plan Dances, Tourneys For Labor Day Week-End Activities
THE COUNTRY CLUB ACTIVITIES on the Labor Day week-end will highlight dinner-dances and golf tournaments. Dances are being planned for Sept. 2 by the Woodstock club and the Highland Golf and Country
club. Mrs. C. R. Ruckelshaus, assisted by Mrs. Perry O'Neal, will be in charge of Woodstock's dinner-dance, “and the William R.. Kraffts will arrange the party at Highland.
Meridian Hills and the Lake Shore country clubs plan their events for Labor Day. t Meridian Hills, there will be a special dinner and Duffers’ Delight golf tournament with Cecil Lykins and Wayne Timberman conducting the matches. John L. Kavanaugh will have charge of the club championship golf tournament at Lake Shore.

4 tsp. salt, 13 c. butter, 1 c. sugar, 1 egg beaten, 4 tsp. flavoring (% tsp. vanilla, % tsp. lemon), % ec. milk, 2 c. raisins.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt, and resift 3 times. Creaia butter and sugar; add egg and mix well. - Add flavorings. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Add raisins. Roll out !; inch thick on lightly floured board. Sprinkle with granulated sugar and cut with cookie cutter. Bake®at 375 degrees F. for 8 to 10 minutes.
