“The Hitler Gang,” the Paramount picture which opened yester-

The film [doesn’t attempt to give a detailed {account of the rise of naziism in {Germany but most of the highlights of Hitler's “career” are covered. More important, the picture shows how a ruthless minority can trim its sails to the wind and gain public favor until ready to seize complete control. It's almost a primer in power politics.
Cast Well Selected
The actors who play the major roles include Robert Watson as Hitler, Alexander Pope as Goering, Victor Varconi as Hess, Martin Kloseck as Goebbels and Luis Van Rooten as Himmler. They were carefully selected either for their résemblance to the Nazis or else { for. the ease with which they could | be"tnade up for the roles. GIVE YOUR APPLIANCES BETTER CARE Co THEY WON'T NEED REPAIR
-
# N OUNCE of prevention is still worth a pound of cure—and that applies to the care of your Elec. trical appliances. Give them proper care and they will serve you long and usefully. Proper care will also help relieve overworked Electrical repairmen who now have to spend much time trying to restore to “work. ing order” appliances which apparently have been abused... and you'll avoid, too, the inconvenience of having to do without the labor- and time-saving use of your Electric appliances. However, remember when trouble does occur to take your appliance immediately to a reliable serviceman—don’t delay until the damage is beyond repair. )

Slapstick deluxe brings the laughs at the Indiana theater this week, where Bud Abbott and Lou Costello are seen in their first film in more than a year. - The boys, who haven't been béfore the camera since Costello's illness, waste more energy in the film, “In Society,” than it would seem pest ible that they could accumuate. 5 The things that happen could only happen to Abbott and Costello, who play the roles of plumbers— and some plumbers they turn out to be.

To escape drowning the boys climb aboard a bathtub and ride to safety through a bedroom and- down a rapids over the grand stairway of the mansion. There are many riotous moments, ending with a fox hunt at a society week-end party which winds up with the fox chasing Costello, During the first part of the piecture the plumbers speak in their
