Indianapolis Girls Make Plans For Entering College Next Month
COLLEGE PLANS COME IN FOR a major share of attention in the late summer months, particularly “from the younger set recently graduated from preparatory schools. September will find a number of Tudor Hall gradu. ates headed east to begin their college careers. Miss Joan Boozer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph W. Boozer, will be in Wellesley, Mass., for the Sept. 21 opening of Pine Manor Junior college. A part of her summer has been spent in Michigan, from where" she returned recently after a three-week trip. Going with Miss Boozer to Pine Manor will be Miss Barbara Bradley, daughter of the C. Harvey. Bradleys.’ Two girls already involved with textbooks are Miss Emily Flickinger, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Dan W. Flickinger, and Miss Kathryn Crockett, West Lafayette. They entered Radcliffe late in June, following their graduation from Tudor.
Miss Crist Enrolls at Bryn Mawr
MRS. MITCHELL P. CRIST'S daughter, Elizabeth Ann, plans to attend Bryn Mawr, which also opens Sept. 21. Another Tudor graduate, Miss Wilma Moenning, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Walter P. Moenning, will enter DePauw university the latter part of this month. Miss Jean Marie Rikhoff, Mrs. John Schramm’s daughter, is going to Mount Holyoke college, South Hadley, Mass. She is spend- - ing a month in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and ‘will go to Minnesota before returning home. She and her mother will leave Sept. 3 for New York, where they will spend a week before Jean enters school. Jean has spent much of the summer as an assistant at one of the Indianapolis day care centers. . ~-Another. student. for Bryn Mawr is Miss Frances Nafe, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Cleon A. Going to Principia in ‘Elsah,’ Ill, for the Sept. 26 opening will be Miss Corinne Grinslade, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T, E. Grinslade, Misses Kroeger, Cohen and Grinslade are all Tudor graduates. Another of the Tudor graduates, Miss Suzann Reeder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Verne K Reeder, plans to attend Hollins college in Virginia. The school opens Sept. 11. Also en route to Virginia will be Miss Barbara Sterrett, the Thornton Sterretts’ daughter. A Shortridge graduate, she will leave Sept. 10 for Mary Baldwin in Staunton, Va. Before starting schoolward, Barbara will join a group of Euvola club members for a house party at Lake Maxinkuckee the latter part of this month.
Nancy Stout to Attend Smith
AT SMITH COLLEGE, Northampton, Mass, wjll be Miss Nancy Stout, another Tudor graduate. She is the daughter of Col. and Mrs. Oliver Stout, Greenville, S. C., formerly of Indianapolis. Miss Joan Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert E. Wilson's daughter, will enter Goucher college in Baltimore. She is with her mother at the Wilsons’ summer cottage at Michigan City and will go to Lake Maxinkuckee for a week before returning home. Her mother is expected back in Indianapolis this week-end. Miss Joan Heffelfinger will enter Christian college, Columbia, Mo., Sept. 19. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Heffelfinger. Day Campers To Hold Picnic At Garfield

A final campfire program will be held from 7 to 8 p.m., closing the six-week camping session. Drawing and handcraft projects of the children will be exhibited. Camp will meet tomorrow in the: Kirshbaum center for a swimming meet, party, games and regular Sabbath eve services. : 56 Enrolled There are 56 boys and girls enrolled in the camp, which spent two weeks at Riverside park and four at - Garfield. The children have done craftwork, dramatics, singing, outdoor cooking and played games. In the afternoon, they returned to the center for swimming and a
| final assembly.
The camp is operated by the Jewish Community Center association in co-operation with the Jewish Educational association. Mrs, Margaret E. Feldman is camp director. Counsellors are Misses Marilyn Baker, Sylvia Miller, Rosanne Kahn and Barbara Meyers, and Bruno Greenhut and Herman D. Hurwitz. Committee Members
A co-ordinating committee, including the ‘camp director, Meyer superintendent of the Jewassociation; Allan Bloom, general secretary of the Jewish Community Center association, and Marion Scharr, director of activities at the center, planned the policies and general program of the camp.

Alumnae of the Indiana university chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority will hold a swimming party at 2 p.m. Saturday in honor of girls who will enter 1.U. next semester. 4-H Contest Winners Are Announced
Fifty girls were blue ribbon winners in the Lawrence township 4-H exhibit held recently in the Lawrence grade school. The winners will exhibit at the Marion county 4-H victory show next week in the Ipalco hall Winners in the food preparation group were Misses Donna Draga, Lois Roberts, Jane Zaizer, Barbara Bacher, Dorothy Branan, Eloise Carney, Janice Curtiss, Jeanette “Winton, Shirley Lyle, Julia McConnell, Dawn Lyle and Mary Winton. Miss Mary Winton was winner n the room improvement division and Misses Ann Craig, Curtis, Zaizer, Betty Robison, Shirley Lyle, Barbara Barker, Ruth Gardner, Jeanette Winton and Dawn Lyle in the baking group.
