IF HENRY FORD DOES MAKE A $500 CAR, by revamyfing the old Model A and leaving off some of the costly
"luxury features, he may get the answer to one question. That is,
many would rather pay several hundred dollars extra for a car that keeps up with the Joneses? Ford's decision is supposed to have been a “bomb-sheli” in De-
troit auto circles. Well, it looks as if the shoe is on the other foot this time. Back in 1927, it was Ford’ who had to drop his famous old Model T because

U.S. Will Sell = Jungle Netting
WASHINGTON. July 27 (U. P.). —The treasury's surplus property unit today advertised a mosquito net which it said would come in handy for the protection of chil=dren and for various other uses, and announced that a large supply now is available for sale at $1.50 each to retail outlets, The net is rectangular in shape, 30 inches wide, 74 inches long and 39 inches high. It is being made available to the public because of the adoption of new types for jungle use by the" armed forces. “These mosquito bars,” the pamphlet said, “can be put to many practical uses in civilian life, such as converting a cot or glider on the back porch into a sleeping room — they are big enough to hold a baby bed or carriage in the yard, and could be used as out-of-door playhouses for smaller voungsters. Hunters and campers like them because they roll up into six by 30-inch rolls.”
