MAY GO TO HOMIER
Skippy Homier, 12, who is enacting the juvenile lead in Lester Cowan's film, “Tomorrow, the World,” is being considered by Mr. Cowan for the role of Ernie Pyle as a boy for a short sequence in the forthcoming United Artist's production “G, I. Joe,” a picturization of Ernie Pyle's best seller, “Here Is Your War.” _ Technical advisers working on the script consider young Homier ideally suited for the part. The boy is not only gaining Hollywood fame through his acting ability but has just turned movie critic, having received the appointment of correspondent and movie critic for “Cyclorama,” a publication of the New York childrens league, at the salary of $2 a week.

‘Cobra’ Film Well-Acted
Spurs Imagination. A volcanic eruption, the antics of
Martok cause much of the excitement in the technicolor film “Cobra’ woman” which opened yesterday at the Indiana. Maria “Montez plays the dual role of twin sisters in the picture with Jon Hall as their romantic interest. His companion, Sabu, turns up in the right places at the right times and proves himself a hero. The story is much like. a fairy tale which might have been dreamed of during childhood. The people of a mythical south sea island are dominated by a’ cruel high priestess and are liberated only through the struggles of her twin sister and Jon Hall, At birth, Naja is chosen to become high priestess and her sister Tollea is sent away. The queen, their grandmother, sends for Tollea believing, she is the only one who can liberate the people from the cruelty of her sister, Tollea returns to the village and her lover,* Jon Hall, follows her: Then the action begins. There follows many exciting scenes and narrow escapes for Tollea and her friends before she is finally made high priestess. One of the best performances was turned in by a chimpanzee, Sabu's pet. In one scene, he threads a needle to draw the attention of a guard, away from his prisoner, much to the delight of the audience, The native dances, tropical scenery and Miss Montes, costumes are colorful. The volcanic eruption is especially good in technicolor with the flaming lava tumbling down the mountainside. Good supporting performances were turned in ‘by Edgar Barrier, Lois Collier, Mary Nash, Moroni Olsen, Samuel Hinds and Lon Chaney. The second attraction is “Her Primitive Man” starring Louise Allbritton and Robert Paige. (By Bernice Hauser.)
