NEW YORK, June 20 (U, P).— Cmdr. Joseph (Jumpin’ Joe) Clifton, who came unscathed through a year's hard fighting in the Pacific as chief of air group 12, described his British and American carrierbased unit today as a “team that worked like a team with no heroes, no hot-shots.” The Paducah, Ky., ace said it was true the Americans “kind of ran the show,” in air combat in that area, the co-operation among the British carrier, the British planes and the American unit was “real teamwork.”
