Fr. Hickey Gets Post
The Rev. Fr. James Hickey, assistant pastor at SS. Peter and Paul's cathedral, goes to the pastorate of St. Ann's church, Terre Haute, made vacant by the resignation of the Very Rev. Clement J. Thienes, R. D. Father Thienes, who, resigned because of ill health, is appointed chaplain of St. Francis hospital, Beech Grove. The Rev. Fr. Joseph V. Beechem, M. A, is transferred from St. John's church to Our Lady of Lourdes church, and the Rev. Fr. John Reidy, M. A. from Ladywood school to the cathedral. The Rev. Fr. Aloysius B. Duffy, former chaplain at St. Francis hospital, goes to Holy Name church. The Rev. Fr. Raymond T. Bosler, 8. T. L., chancery secretary, will reside at St. John's rectory.

BLOOMINGTON. se 19. — Al Nolan, Bloomington, has been chosen president of the senior class at Indiana university under the new merit election plan instituted to replace the appointment of class officers by university officials. Others elected are Maxine Stapp, Bedford, vice president; Virginia Hawley, Peru, secretary; Dick Davis, Gary, treasurer, and Edmund Burk, Winamac, chairman of the Siwash committee.
WATCHMAKERS SET FOR CONVENTION
A pre-convention survey made by the Watchmakers Association of Indiana, Inc, showed that there are approximately 185 less watchmakers in the state than there were at the start of the war and that there are now over 70,000 watches awaiting repair, The 11th annual convention of the association starts Sunday in the Hotel Antlers. Registration of members wil] start at 8:30 a. m. ‘The convention will be called to order by Frank A. Kroetz of Valparaiso, president of the association.
