Arnold, a member for nine years. “There has been no change in its membership for almost seven years,” Mr. Roosevelt said, “and I believe that in the interest of expeditious and eflicient dispatch of business, these four members, whose services have been so satisfactory, should all be reappointed.” The President also pointed out that the court has recently been given jurisdiction over renegotiation of war contract cases and has been able in the past six years, despite “the increasing complexities of tax law and tax litigation,” to cut the number of pending cases by almost 50 per cent to put its docket on a current basis.
