Roast leg of lamb (4 lbs. lamb roast). Oven browned potatoes (6 med. potatoes browned with roast). Creamed new peas and carrots lbs. fresh peas, 8 young carrots, 1'; c¢. med. white sauce), Summer safad (14 head lettuce, 3 tomatoes, green onion, mayonnaise). Whole wheat parker house rolls (8 bought and reheated). Rhubarb and prune pie (see recipe).
Supper Fresh asparagus soup. Soya crackers (4 lb. bought). Avocado salad (mold slices of avocado, orange and grapefruit sections in lemon jello, turn on lettuce leaf). Quick cinnamon biscuits. wn [J . Bhustrh and Prune Pie: 3 c. diced rhubarb, % ec. slivered raw prunes, 1 ¢. sugar, 3 tbsps. flour, % tsp. salt, % tsp. cinnamon, 4 tsp. grated lemon rind, 1 tbsp. lemon juice, pastry for 2 crust ple. - Wash and dice the rhubarb. With kitchen shears or a sharp knife, cut soft fleshy pulp of prune from pits. Combine next six ingredients. Add the rhubarb and prunes and toss to coat with sugar mixture. * Fill a pastry-lined 8-in. pie pan. Cut remaining dough into %-in. strips and make a lattice top. Sprinkle with sugar and bake for 15 mins. at 450 degrees F. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F. and continue baking for 30 mins. or until filling cooks and until it bubbles and top crust is golden brown. Serve warm
