Local Girls Win Scholarships ~~ - FIVE INDIANA GIRLS have been awarded scholarships to Wellesley college in Wellesley, Mass. Miss Lucia Brown, daughter of Col. and Mrs. James D. Brown of Bloomington, has been awarded the scholarship given by the Indianapolis Wellesley club. Miss Brown will be graduated from Tudor Hall school June 2. Miss Joan Sherwood, daughter of Maj. and Mrs. Elmer Sherwood, Ft. Harrison, received the Pendleton National scholarship, Seven such awards are made annually by the college. Two other Indianapolis girls have received scholarships from the college. They are Miss Marjorie Turk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donovan ‘A. Turk, and Miss Hannah Coombs, daughter of Lt. and Mrs. John James Cooper, Miss Mildred Nickel, Bluffton, is the winner of one of the two midwest scholarships given by the college.

Colonial Dames List Officers NINE NEW OFFICERS of the National Society of Colonial Dames in the State of Indiana have been named by the organization's board of directors. The directors and four other officers were chosen recently 4t a general meeting of the society.
