Planting is similar to that of other fruit trees—good soil and ample room for root development. Trellis supports may vary in character, but whether against a wall 21 out in the open, the wires (14gage galvanized) should be a foot apart, with the bottom wire the same height as the first serial branch of the tree, and the top ! wire six feet above grade.
