Charles Dawson's knowh gubernatorial ambitions, considerable political significance was attached today to a state senate resolution praising the “statesmanlike manner” in which he has presided over that body during the last three sessions, Introduced by Senator John W. Van Ness (R, Valparaiso), senate president pro tem. the resolution was passed unanimously after being seconded in a series of highly eulogistic addresses offered by both Republicans and Democrats.
