Reveal: Church of England Approves Bombing

NEW YORK, April 7 (U. P)— The majority of the Church of ' England approves the bombing of enemy territory as a means of shortening the war and its suffering, the Most Rev. Cyril Forster Garbett, archbishop of York, Eng-

land, told a press conference today. The archbishop said that the Church of England was in support of anything which would hasten the end of the war.

Soldier Patients From Palm Beach to Be Tansferred.

of the 2000-bed station hospital as an army general hospital, Camp Atterbury officials announced today that an undetermined number of soldier patients at the Ream general hospital, Palm Beach, Fla., will be transferred here. R The Ream hospital is being discontinued and some of the hospital officers also will be assigned to Ate terbury. With the activation of the general hospital, the 3547th service unit came into existence. The medical center, commanded by Col. H. L. Conner, will provide treatment for

Conversion of the hospital calls for additional therapeutic equipment for specialized treatment and specialists in neuro, plastic and orthopedic surgery, Col. Conner said. Civilian employees will be retained in the change-over. WAC section II, 1560th service unit has been inactivated, and a large part of the personnel of medical section, 1560th service unit, have been transferred to the new 3547th service unit. The center will be known as “U. S. Army General Hospital” until an official name is designated.
