Two Indianapolis bluejackets, Don Arthur and John C. McAndrews, have received meritorious advancement for combat service in the Northwest African waters, McAndrews was advanced to torpedoman's mate 1-c, and Arthur to gunner's mate 2-c.- McAndrews is the husband of Mrs. Anna M. McAndrews, 105 N. Arsenal ave. and the son of Mr, and Mrs. John E. McAndrews, 1133 8. Richland ave. Arthur's wife, Mrs. Elsie L. Arthur, lives at 718 N. Emerson ave.

Hobbs Is Graduated.

Pvt. William Harold Hobbs, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Tapp, 427 N. State st., has been graduated as an aircraft mechanic from the army air forces school at Seymour Johnson field, N. C. Pvt. Hobbs was inducted April 3, 1943. He is a graduate of Technical high school and was employed by Western Union before entering service.

Three Indianapolis men are ready to fight as well as to write orders and do routine clerical jobs in the headquarters of an infantry unit in Great Britain. They are Maj. Charles H. Conway, 3335 College ave.; Sgt. Norbert G. Catellier, 2202 Station st., and Cpl. Norman B. Hughes, 235 S. Parker ave.

Two Indianapolis soldiers are among the U. S. army infantrymen in Great Britain undergoing the toughest, mest realistic maneuvers in preparation for invasion day. They are Pfc. Anselmo Povinelli, 055 E. Georgia st. and Pvt. Robert N. McIntyre, 3739 N. Kenwood ave.
