Gladys Alwes, president of Martens Concerts, Inc, announced today. The opening performance will be the opera “La Traviata” on Oct. 17 or 18. . The Charles L. Wagner production will bring scenery, orchestra and personnel enough for three casts. Bruna Castagna, contralto of the Metropolitan association, will give a concert on Nov. 5, followed by a Ballet Theater performance on Nov. 28. The ballet has appeared here

But the climax comes when the Sullivans ,are grown and the naval officer arrives with the telegram, “We regret to inform you . . . All five of the sailors went down in a heroic battle. Anne Baxter, Thomas Mitchell, Selena Royle, Edward Ryan, Trudy Marshall, John Campbell, James Cardwell, John Alvin and George Offerman Jr. are all stars in their roles.
