It is thought that this year's beet crop may exceed last year’s. The supply of beet-field labor is still extremely short, however, and it ‘takes some encouragement to keep growers at it in these times when easier money can be made on other crops. The office of price administration warns that with increased demands, and uncer tainty about domestic crops, consumers must economize on sugar until more is known about both.
