This Week-end. The subscription series of con-
orchestra will close this week-end with an all-Tchaikovsky program in the Murat theater Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Fabien Stvitzky will lead the local musicians in the first Indianapolis performance of “Serenade for Strings” on a program which includes two other Tchaikovsky works: the overture-fantasy, “Romeo and Juliet,” and the fourth symphony. The orchestra season has been extended another week to include. two request concerts of Verdi's “Manzoni” Requiem on April 1 and 2, and the final municipal concert on March 29. Sigurd Rascher, concert saxophonist, will be soloist for the municipal concert.
BENNY GOODMAN TO BREAK UP BAND
HOLLYWOOD, March 21 (U, P.). —Benny Goodman revealed today that he will break up his band as soon as his current picture. “Sweet and Low Down,” is completed at 20th Century-Fox. Goodman, whose band won him the title of “King of Swing” in 1936, will tour army camps after the picture is completed. He explained that draft troubles,
