« « «» made with ENRICHED E-Z-BAKE FLOUR

I cake yeast Vs cup lukewarm water i V4 cup sugar V2 cup milk, scalded I. tsp. salt 3 Tbsp. shortening 2 eggs, beaten 2l3 to 3 cups Enriched E-Z-BAKE Four

% Soften yeast in lukewarm water. Scald milk and add shortening, sugar, and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Add 2 cups E-Z-BAKE Four and mix well; then add yeast and beaten eggs and blend thoroughly, Stir in remaining E-Z-BAKE Flour to make a soft dough. Turn out on a lightly floured board and knead well—about 10 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk—about 2 hours. Remove from bowl and

knead long enough to work all air out of dough. Let rest for 10 minutes. Roll into a square

and fit into a greased 8x8-inch square pan. Let rise in a warm place for-! hour.

TOPPING

l/s cup jam 2 Tbsp. sugar

Punch holes in dough-with knife handle (about 2 inches apart} and fill-holes with jam. Sprinke top lightly with sugar. Bake in a moderate oven (375 degrees F.) for 25 to 30 minutes.

Jam Sparklets are not only colorful but carry their own spread. Served for breakfast with fruit and a hot beverage—chocolate, made with milk, for children—they will satisfy nutritional needs and hearty appetites for the morning hours,

% Are they good? Try them as an addition to those ever-yawning lunch boxes, they'll spark any appetite. Plenty of those important ""B" vitamins present too, ‘cause they're made with Enriched E-Z-BAKE.
