Retail Sales Up 15 Per Cent
Times Special WASHINGTON, Dec. 17.—A 15 per cent gain in sales over November last year on the basis of dallar volume, was made during No- i vember by 860 Indiana independent retail stores, the commerce department reported today. Fifteen department stores recorded November sales this year 25 per cent over sales of November, 1942. In Indianapolis, 114 retail stores reported a gain of 23 per cent over November last year and 10 per cent over October this year.
