ITALY MAY FIGHT JAPS, REPORT SAYS

LONDON, Oct. 18 (U, P)—A roundabout Swiss report said today that Italy , may declare war on Japan soon and send Italianmanned warships to the Pacific to co-operate with the United States navy. The report, contained in a Bern dispatch to the Stockholm Svenska Dagbladet, followed by ‘two days the Italian declaration of war on Germany, her other former axis partner. The dispatch said the expected declaration against Japan had been precipitated by “Japanese aggressiveness” against Italian interests and citizens in the Far East.
