Her talk came during the business meeting which followed the organization’s annual breakfast held in Ayres’ tearoom. The meeting closed the auxiliary’s two-day convention held in conjunction with the 94th annual convention of the state medical association. “If, as has been predicted,” Mrs. Packard sald, “the women of this country will cast the deciding votes in the next presidential election, it behooves them to know about this bill. 2 “The main reason for objecting to its passage is that the public will suffer—the public that has received the benefit of the medical progress rooted in individual initiative.”
