Capt. McIlvaine recently completed . a two-week course in high altitude flying at - San Antonio, Tex., and stopped at his home on his way to his base. The 23-year-old captain graduated from Shortridge high school and Purdue university. He entered the ‘army in May, 1942. Lt. Maguire is a tank commander in the armored forces at Pine camp, N. Y. The 27-year-old lieutenant has been in the army two years. Two brothers in the army are Lt. John E. Maguire Jr, 25, a bombardier at Dalhart, Tex. apd ‘Pvt. James C. , 22, in the medical detachment at Turner field, Ga. Lt. Bugher is commander of the finance ‘office at Walker air field, Victoria, Kas. He has been in service 18 months and was home on leave a few weeks ago.

Mate LaGrange is now stationed at Revere beach, Mass. He returned to duty in the coast guard in May, 1942. A former Johnson county basketball player, he was honored as the outstanding basketball player in the coast guard when he was in service 11 years ago. A brother, Lt. R. M.
