| Ith Season of Camping Activities Held This Summer at Acorn Fafm
GASOLINE RATIONING made no. appreciable dents this year in the summer vacation plans: of a sizeable contingent of Indianapolis youngsters. This was the 11th year that they, or their older brothers and sisters before them, have spent at Acorn Farm. camps 8 short distance north of Carmel. : The camps are operated during the summer months by. Heiberh A. Sweet, a teacher at Orchard school. Up until last year, the day camp was “Acorn camp” but when the Sweets built their white~ columned, red brick colonial residence there and facilities Were pro- | vided for overnight campers, it became “Acorn Farm camps.” The children attending the day camp are divided into groups of older and younger campers and attend on aliernate day Children who have attended the camp this summer include Eo% Hargitt, John Coun, Merry Read, Rita Ridenhour, Lynn Peterson y ‘Ethel Madden, Joyce Robinson, Libby Ann Jones, Martha ..
