Sgt. Booth joined the WAC on Nov. 9, 1942, and served her basic training at Ft. Des Moines. After

Hobby received an honorary degree at Huntsville, Tex. Sgt. Booth has two brothers in the service, one a lieutenant at Ft. Sill and another a private in a meteorology unit in the army air corps. Sgt. Booth lived” at 1706 Spann ave., before joining the WAC. She is a graduate of Technical high school and attended Indiana university, majoring in physical education and English.

A national guard before he entered the army prior to the Pearl harbor attack, he was graduated from Tech and employed at the Fairmount Glass Works.
Don Royer W. Mintz
PVT. DONALD K. ROYER, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Royer, 520 Eastern ave. is now stationed in Sicily. Pvt. Royer entered the service on Jan. 16, at Ft. Harrison. He received his basic training at Camp Wheeler, Ga., and from there was sent to North Africa. Pvt. Royer is a graduate of Technical high school and was employed in the tool and die department at Link-Belt Co. before entering the service, LT. WILFRED MINTZ, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mintz, 3055 N. New Jersey st., is spending a 10-day furlough with his parents. Lt. Mints is assigned to the armored fleld artillery and will report to Camp Campbell, Ky. at the end of his visit. : 2 = =»
