Bailey, a former employee of The Indianapolis Times, enlisted in July, 1940, and received his basic training at Camp Wolters, Tex. His brother, Pfc. James F. Bailey Jr. is with the medical detachment at Camp Rucker, Ala. Another brother, Harry P. Bailey, is with the OWI in Washington, D. C, writing radio scripts for the government, for the Red Cross and for the merchant marine.
