Well-Planned Program
A Funds raised through the annual celebration of President Roosevelt's birthday have made it possible for the national foundation for infan-| tile paralysis to launch a wellplanned and far-reaching program. | The latest move in this program! has been the establishment of a five-vear campaign at the Universitv of Minnesota school of medicine to find out exactly what happens when the disease strikes the] human body and to evaluate the results of various methods of treatments. ! Basil O'Connor, president of the! ¥foundation, tells that $175.000 has ’ been made available for this study! which will be directed by a com-| mittee representing the university's | departments of physiology, neuropsychiatry and pediatrics. At its; head will be Dr. Maurice B. Vis-| scher, professor physiology. |
