1. The home of national swimming champions is the Riviera club with its coach, Bud Sawin. [Its pool is one of the largest in the city. Fugitives from the heat find it an ideal place to relax. This year stay-at-homes are flocking to the club in such droves that the management recently issued cards announcing that memberships were closed.

Suzanne Ulen and Ensian Ben Shera Are Wed in Brunswick, Ses

MISS SUZANNE ULEN became the bride of Ensign Ben Shera at 7:30 p. m. yesterday in the Presbyterian manse, Brunswick, Ga. The bride was accompanied to Brunswick by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ulen of Lebanon, and the bridegroom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Shera, also of Lebanon. A graduate of Indiana university, Ensign Shera is stationed now with the navy air corps in Georgia. He is a member of Delta

Tau Delta fraternity. Miss ulen is a graduate of DePauw and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

Kylie-Booth Rite Is Read

THE REV. WILLIAM BURROWS of St. Paul's Episcopal church was to read the wedding service uniting Miss Virginia Booth and Harry R. Kylie of Rochester, N. Y,, at noon today. The informal ceremony was to be at the home of the bride's parents, Chief Justice and Mrs. Fenton W, Booih. ’ Mrs. Leroy B. Miller was to be her sister's only attendant. With her gray dress she was to wear a pink rose corsage, Donald Jameson, brother-in-law of the bride, was to be best man.

The bride was to wear a street-length blue lace coat dress and a corsage of pink roses. For the wedding trip to Vermont she has chosen a brown linen suit and brown accessories. Out-of-town guests for the ceremony were to include Mrs. Lu Cole, Mrs. Edwin P. Daly and daughter, Barbara Ann, and Mrs. Truman Booth, Marshall, Ill.; Mrs. Edwin Booth, Chicago; Mrs, Arthur Poorman, Chicago Heights, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel P. Hamilton, Winnetka, Ill, and Mrs. Cornell Acheson, Washington.

Children Take Part in Water Carnival

PARTICIPANTS IN THE six events scheduled for the children's water carnival at Meridian Kills Country club tomorrow have been named by Miss Marilyn Hull, swimming coach. The carnival will follow the outdoor supper at the club's 18th anniversary party. Events will inciude a medley relay with four races. In the first. race will be Harry Kerr, Danny Nyhart and Ray Rice; in the second, Jilson Simmons, Jack Trask and Steven Davis; third, Bob Daniels, Jim Rybolt and Billy Kerr, and fourth, Joan Summers, Flo Mary Foreman and Nell Becherer. Those in the diving contest will be Harry Kerr, Jilson Simmons, = Judy Foreman, Flo Mary Foreman and Nancy Iles. The third event will be a comic diving act with Jilson Simmons and Harry Kerr.

Other Reservations Made for Party

Children under 12 years of age will take part in two 25-yard heats.
