Engagement of Mary Scott Morse And Nelson G. Johnson ls Announced
THE ENGAGEMENT OF Miss Mary Scott Morse to Nelson Gladding Johnson is announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Scott Morse. Mr. Johnson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Johnson. The wed-
ding date has not been set. Miss Morse, a graduate of Wheaton college, Norton, Mass., is a member of Indianapolis Junior league. Mr. Johnson attended Lawrenceville school and was graduated from Princeton university.
Peacock-Griffith Rite Is Read Today
A CEREMONY READ by the Rev. E. Ainger Powell, Miss Sylvia Griffith was to become the bride of Capt. John E. Peacock, U. 8. M. C,, at noon today in Christ church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore B. Griffith and Capt. Peacock is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Peacock, Longmeadow, Mass. Two urns in antique white, filled with tall stalks of white hybrid delphinium, were to mark the entrance to the chancel and pews were to be tied with clusters of English ivy. ” » ” ” ” ” Entering on the arm of her father, the bride was to wear her mother’s wedding dress of ivory satin made with a fitted basque, bracelet sleeves and a double over-skirt of ivory net with a slight swee Pe deep yoke of the bodice and panels of the satin underskirt are of rose point lace from her grandmother's wedding dress, Her fingertip ivory net veil was to be arranged from a miniature mantilla of rose point and she was to carry a spray bouquet of white swainsonia and white stephanotis.
Luncheon Follows at Griffith Home
MISS BARBARA BROWN, the bride’s only attendant, was to be in a pale green marquisette gown with a fitted basque, romance neckline and full skirt. She was to carry an arm bouquet of red Rome glory roses with the colors repeated in her Juliet cap of real rose leaves accented with one red rose. Walter Peacock was to be his son’s best man. Following the ceremony a family luncheon was to be served at the home of the bride's parents. The only out-of-town guest, in addition to the bridegroom’s parents, was to be Mrs. Charles Bell of Centerville, Mass. "Phe bride was graduated from Tudor Hall school and Smith college and Capt. Barbara Smith to Be Wed to R. H. Zankl
FRIENDS OF Miss Barbara Lee Smith have received the announcement of her approaching marriage to Robert Hudson Zankl The ceremony will be at 8:30 o'clock Friday evening in the post chapel, Fitzsimons general hospital, Denver, Colo. The bride is the daughter of Lt. Col. and Mrs. Roy Lee Smith of Denver, formerly of Indianapolis, and Mr. Zankl is the son of Mr. and Mrs, M. N. Zankl. Miss Smith is a graduate of Indiana university and a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Mr. Zankl also attended Indiana university and will be graduated in August from Purdue university. He is a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.

R. J. Brunson, Madonna Call To Wed Today
An informal ceremony in the rectory of St. Joan of Arc Catholic church will unite Miss Madonna E. Call and Robert J. Brunson in marriage at 4 o'clock this afternoon. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph A. Call Sr. of Greencastle and Mr. Brunson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Brunson, 522 E. 48th st. The Rev. Fr. C. M. Bosler will officiate before an altar decorated with baskets of summer flowers and seven-branch candelabra. Miss Mari Wagner, harpist, will play bridal airs. Entering with her father, the bride will wear a white gabardine suit with white accessories, a picture hat and a white orchid corsage. Her maid of honor, Miss Mary Frances Donahue of Terre Haute will be in yellow with white accessories and a gardenia corsage. Sisters of the bride and bridergoom, Betty Ann Call and Barbara Brunson, also will attend the bride. Mr. Brunson will be his son’s best man. While the bride’s mother will wear a navy blue sheer with white accessories and a corsage of pink roses, the bridegroom’s mother will be in a brown and white print redingote with ‘white accessories and a white carnation corsage. After a supper at Cifaldi’s the couple will leave on a wedding trip, the bride traveling in a green and white sheer suit, white accessories and an orchid corsage. The bride and bridegroom will be at home after July 6 at the Ambassador apartments.

The Lincoln room, Hotel Lincoln, will be the scene of the wedding of Miss Barbara Sternberger and Lt. Sherman D, Cahn at 7 o'clock this evening. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton L. Sternberger, 131 Blue Ridge rd., and the bridegroom'’s parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Louis Cahn of Cleveland.
Rabbi Morris Feuerlicht will read the service and Miss Marl Wagner
will be the harpist. Palms, cibotium ferns and two seven-branch cathedral candelabara, will be used in decorating and in addition there will be four white bay trees filled with white flowers and greenery. The bride will wear a pale aqua street length dress and will have a bouquet of yellow oncidium orchid and combs of matching orchids in her hair. Her sister and maid of honor, Miss Adele Sternberger, will be in a beige dress and will have adantaglossom orchids in her corsage and combs. Mrs. Oscar Berman of San Antonio, grandmother of ‘the bride, will be matron of honor. With her gray ensemble she will wear a corsage of deep magenta orchids. Wilton Cahn of Cleveland will be his brother’s best man. The bride’s mother will wear beige with brown and green orchids and the bridegroom’s mother ‘will have a white orchid corsage. The couple will take a wedding trip and will be at home in a week at 4600 Washington blvd. The bride attended Stephens college and the bridegroom is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania law school. He is stationed at Ft. Benjamin Harrison.
