{at the San Diego naval hospital.
Lt. Hall took his pre-dental course at Butler university, was graduated from. Indiana university and served his internship at City hospital. He was commissioned in the Reserve, June 8, 1941, and commissioned a lieutenant junior grade at San Diego, Cal., June 4, 1943. RIGHT: 1st. Li. Arnold J. Thielman is stationed at Camp Phillips, Kas,, where he is assigned to the engineer corps. He was commissioned a second lieutenant after graduation from OCS at Ft. Belvoir, Va., in 1942 and was promoted to his present rank this spring. A graduate of Indiana university and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, Lt. Thielman was district manager at several midwest offices of the Commercial Credit Co. before he entered service. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thielman, 921 Hervey st.

McAfee was employed at Curtiss-Wright. He attended Technical high school.

Scott told a United Press correspondent. “When they're the wrong kind,” he added, “the men get homesick and we can’t do a thing for them.” In an inactive war theater, especially one which is Hot and dry, the men are more likely to become despondent unless they get encouragement from home.
