URGES PEACE BASED ON SOUND ECONOMY
TORONTO, June 10 (U. P.).— Frederick C. Crawford, president of the national association of manufacturers, called on American and Canadian businessmen yesterday to lead. in establishment of a united nations’ industrial-economic conference to help prepare “a sound economic foundation for. a lasting peace.” ; He addressed the 72d annual meeting of the Canadian Manutacturers’ association. : Such a conference, Crawford said, would develop a post-war industrial leadership and a business program for rehabilitation which would justify participation at the peace table by united nations’ businessmen.
