An automobile owner failing to comply with the provisions of the new financial responsibility law will lose his license to operate and his registration plates. These privileges will be taken away by the department of public safety until the operators or owner comply with
the law.

the director suspends or the driving license of an individual on the basis of a record of conviction under any law regulating motor vehicles or traffic, he will be required registration certificates and plates fssued to that individual unless proof of future responsibility is given, and thereafter maintained for a period of three years for all cars owned by him. Don F. Stiver, director of public gafety, says that it is important fox ‘car owners to know that if the plates are suspended for failure to satisfy judgment or for failure to post security following an accident, the motor vehicle involved cannot be registered in Indiana by anyone.

Law Is Protected
This means that if a person sells his car or transfers it to another member of his family, or anyone else, after losing his registration privileges, the new owner will not be able to obtain registration plates unless the director is satisfied that such transfer is not made for the purpose of defeating the law. The security deposited with the director of public following an accident can be used only for the payment of a judgment against a person making the deposit. The deposit, or any balance of it. will be returned to the depositor after the expiration of cne year from the date of the accident, providing the direcfor is given reasonable evidence that no action is pending and that no judgment remains unsatisfied.
