Miss Hosmer to Be Graduated

MISS BETTY LOUISE HOSMER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George ,H. Hosmer, is among seniors who are being graduated with honors from Radcliffe college this week. She will receive the degree of bachelor of arts cum laude at the school’s 60th annual commencement exercises tomorrow morning. She has served as advertising and business manager of the Radcliffe News, as secretary of the Classical club, as chairman of quadrangle activities and chairman of activities for her dormitory, Barnard hall. She was president of the dormitory this year and has been a member of the psychology committee, the Athletic association, the yearbook staff and the Radcliffe Choral society.

Sarah Lawrence Commencement Friday

TWO INDIANAPOLIS GIRLS will receive degrees in commencement ceremonies at Sarah Lawrence college, Bronxville, N. Y., this week. They are Miss Frances S. Bloch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Bloch, and Miss Carol A. Noel, daughter of Mrs. Harry S. Noel. Thirty-four seniors will receive A. B. degrees at the commencement Friday and 80 sophomores will receive diplomas for completion of two years’ work. Commencement week activities will include performances of a student-written and produced musical review, “Mermaid Madness,” tomorrow and Thursday nights and Friday afternoon. Six Are on Dean's List

THE DEAN'S LIST at Stephens college, Columbia, Mo., includes the names of Misses Rosemary Wilmeth, Helen Cusack, Joyce and Joan Smith, Betsy Rogers and Dorothy Fisher. The six Indiana girls are among the 179 students on the list which includes only those in the top 7 per cent of the student body, according to Dean Weldon P. Shofstall, who made the announcement. Miss Wilmeth is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Delbert O. Wilmeth; Miss Cusack, of Mrs. Walter J. Cusack, and the Misses Smith, of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Smith. C. E. Rogers of Columbus, Ind., is Miss Rogers’ father and Mrs. V. H. Fisher of Noblesville is the mother of Miss Fisher.

The War-Peace organization at Stephens has elected Miss Helen Whitehead, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J. M, Whitehead, second vice president for the year 1943-44. Organized as an emergency division of the Civic association at the college, the organization serves as a clearing house for all war activities on the campus. Miss Whitehead will be in charge of all the residence hall W. P, O. chairmen.

Dr. Harry Nagle To Speak Tonight

Dr. - Harry Nagle, Americanism officer of the Irvington American Legion post, will be guest speaker at an 8 o'clock meeting of the Perry Township War Mothers’ club in the Edgewood school gymnasium tonight. Service men from Stout field and Boy Scouts of Southport will present a flag to the mothers. The club is furnishing a day room at Indiana Central college in University Heights.

Pan-Americana Club to End

Season

A dinner meeting at 6 p. m. Friday in the Y. W. C. A. will close the club season for La Junta Pan-Amer-icana.
