The Navy needs you to help our nation in this total war. This is a war which involves the freedom of every American, and all Americans must play their part. As a member of the WAVES or SPARS, ladies wear the same Navy Blue, win the same ratings, and earn the same pay as America's fighting

men.

How to Join the WAVES or SPARS IF YOU ARE ACCEPTED:

PAY: ... Your pay will be the same as men serving in the same rank on the fighting front in the same branch of the service.

CLOTHING: ... You'll be smartly uniformed in the famous WAVE or SPAR uniform at government expense, ready to take a man’s place and do

If you are a native-born American or if your parents have naturalization papers and you have 2 years of high school or business college and are between 20 and 36 years old and are at least 5 feet in height and weigh at least 95 pounds and have fair vision, you are eligible to make application in the WAVES or SPARS.
