Mrs. F. Allison Preston Announces Betrothal of Her Daughter, Judith
MRS. FRANCES ALLISON PRESTON announces the engagement of her daughter, Judith, to John Lillard Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen T. Davis of Winchester, Ky. The wedding will be in the early fall. Miss Preston is a graduate of Orchard and Tudor Hall schools and of Wells college, Aurora, N. Y. She is a member of the Inyolis Junior league. The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Kentucky Military institute and Washington and Lee university and a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
Dorothy Ann Fisher Is Engaged THE ENGAGEMENT OF Miss Dorothy Ann Fisher to Earl James Clark, son of Mrs. Stinson Clark of Lafayette, is announced the bride-to-be’s mother, Mrs. Ronald M. Fisher. The ceremony be read June 5 in St. Joan of Arc Catholic church. Miss Fisher eradate of Butler university, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Mr. Clark, a graduate of Purdue university, is a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Auxiliary Election Will Be Tuesday
OFFICERS OF THE INDIANAPOLIS Day Nursery Junior auxiliary will be elected Tuesday at the auxiliary’s monthly meeting —a 12:30 p. m. luncheon at the Propylaeum. There will be a board meeting at 11:30 a. m. Several members of the auxiliary who have completed training work for the citizens’ service corps of the OCD will be inducted in ceremonies at 10:20 a. m. Wednesday in the World War Memorial building. ‘The group includes Mesdames Thomas Billings, Ralph B. Coble, Joseph W. Ferree, Fred Harmon Fulton, Richard T. Hill, Frederick W. Mitchell, H. Edward Raffensperger, James W. Ray, Paul W. Scheuring, C. C. Scheutz, William Niles Wishard Jr. and Myers Whitaker. Five to Assist In Sales Drive
Five women will aid Mrs. T. Vietor Keene, chairman, in the formal season ticket campaign for the Indianapolis symphony orchestra's
1943-1044 season. Mrs. George W. Bowman will be vice general chairman of the drive which will continue from Sept. 17 to Oct. 1. The south, west, east and north districts of Indianapolis will be headed by Mesdames Oliver W. Pickhardt, John E. Storer Jr, Wilson T. Patterson and Edmond W. Hebel. The chairmen will announce the names of their team captains later. Today marked the deadline for the period during which last year's season ticket owners were given their choice of seat locations for the coming year. All seats not resubscribed were placed on unrestricted public sale.

“The Blue Belt,” an operetta, will be presented by the girls’ choir of the Irvington Methodist church at 8 o'clock this evening in the social hall of the church, Those in the cast are Misses Suzanné Shortridge, Shirley Stillwell, Jenny Lea Petty, Jo Ann Meyer, Ellen Barnes and Mary Elizabeth Carnahan.
