Tribe Will Play
Here Tonight; Start at 8:30
By EDDIE ASH
Fresh from two victories in two starts against the Colonels at Louisville, the Indians returned today to tackle the Kansas City Blues at Victory field tonight. And at stake will be undisputed possession of the American association lead. It will be ladies’ night at the Tribe park and game starting time has been set at 8:30. The three-way tie for the league lead was snapped last night when the Columbus-Toledo double-header at Toledo was divided and the Red Birds dropped to third place, leaving Indianapolis and Kansas City at the head of the A. A. field on even terms with five won and three lost for a percentage of .625. The Indians-Colonels game at Louisville last night was postponed. The Blues also wete held idle yesterday. A twin bill scheduled with Milwaukee at Kansas City was weathered out.
Mound Staffs Ready
Manager Ownie Bush of the Indians and Skipper Johnny Neun of the Blues are well fixed in the mound department for the series opening tonight. Ready for the Tribesters is Johnny Hutchings, the huge right-hander who goose-egged the Columbus Red Birds last Sunday. He also rushed to the rescue in the 11th inning at Louisville Tuesday. and saved that one for the Tribe. Also ready, if needed, are Earl Reid and Woody Rich, Pilot Neun of the Blues can take his choice as his entire staff has rested from regular action since May 8. The league’s defending cham-
