Annual Field Day and Picnic Supper To Be Held Saturday at Park School
ECHOES OF THE PARK SCHOOL annual garden tour, which has been discontinued for the duration of the war, will be sounded Saturday when the Mothers’ association of the school stdges a picnic supper in connection with the school’s yearly field day.
Following the athletic events of the day, the supper will be given In the gymnasium against a background of pictures of the tours held in former years. In addition, there will be an exhibit of shadow boxes which were a feature of the flower displays held in connection with the tours. Mrs. Eugene ©. Miller is general arrangements chairman for the supper and Mrs. William C. Griffith will be hostess to the owners of gardens which were included in the tours. Mrs. Cleon A. Nafe and Mrs. Robert Hollowell are co-chairmen of hostesses who will be recruited from mothers of pupils ih the various grades.
Supper Hostesses Are Listed
PARENTS ATTENDING WILL BE seated at tables arranged according to the grades in which their children study. Hostesses for these will be Mrs. Alex Metzger, seniors: Mrs. Hollowell and Mrs. Smiley N. Chambers, juniors; Mrs. Albert Rabb and Mrs. Carl M. Geupel, sophomores: Mrs. Henry B. Shriver and Mrs. J. H. Stygall, freshmen; Mrs, W. Hathaway Simmons and Mrs. W. I. Longsworth, * 8th grade: Mrs. F. Noble Ropkey, 7th; Mrs. Harold B. West, 6th, and Mrs. Clifford Courtney and Mrs. Otto J. Feucht, 3d through 5th. Mr. and Mrs. Russell R. Benson will be in charge of the pictures in the gymnasium and the shadow wux exhibits which will be shown by Mesdames Longsworth, Simmons and A. W. Herrington. Other exhibits will be arranged by the “Red and Black,” the school paper; by the Art club; by the lower school and by the Electron Science club which also will present a radio play in which the supper school chorus will appear. A community sing will close the ays activities. Athletic events during the afternoon will begin at 2 p. m. with a baseball game between Park and Culver Military academy. Later there will be track and field events for the lower school and three baseball games between fathers and the junior varsity, the juniors and the lower school and grade 7.
Reception to Be Held at Art Museum
A RECEPTION WILL BE HELD from 4 to 5 p. m. Sunday at John Herron Art museum for Mrs. Junius Spencer Morgan. Hosts will be members of the Indiana chapter of the Citizens Committee for the army and navy. During the reception there will be an exhibit of painted altar panels of the type used by chaplains of the armed forces. Fabien Sevitzky is chairman of the chapter and members of the executive committee are Mrs. James W. Fesler, Mrs. Charles Latham. Miss Blanche Stillson, Miss Lucy Taggart, Dr. G. H. A. THE FINAL MEETING of the Smith College club this season will be a luncheon May 20 at the home of Mrs. Roy Elder Adams. Officers will be elected and guests will “listen in” on a nation-wide broadcast from the home of Herbert Davis, Smith college president.

Two Honor Guests
Honor guests will be Mrs. Henry F. Schricker and Miss Geneva Bars rows, new Marion county Girl Scout executive. All Senior Service Scouts are invited to attend. With the investiture of these nine girls, troop 123 will be the first troop in the city in which all meme bers have completed their senior service requirements. Dr. Herman Morgan of the city health department provided a doce tor for the health examinations this week-end, and Mrs. Raymond Smart and Mrs. Ralph Burris aided in the physical examinations. Overnight kits were examined by Mrs. Charles Francik and Mrs, Stuart Bishop for neatness and come pleteness of necessary emergency equipment. The registration desk was supers vised by Mrs, O, F.
